BJ Compton has been a member of PWA both as an athlete and is now taking a lead role in the program as a coach. Compton wrestled under Iowa Alumni's 2X National Champion Kevin Dresser and 3X All American/National Champion Daryl Weber at Christiansburg High School. Coach Compton finished his high school career with a record of 178-12 on his way to winning 4 Virginia state titles. Compton won the Dave Shultz award in 2004 as the best wrestler in the state of Virginia. Coach Compton wrestled at Old Dominion University earning the CAA Conference Rookie of the week award (2X's) in his first season as a Monarch. He is also placed two times at the CAA Conference Championships before transferring to the Apprentice School. Compton returns to the Peninsula Wrestling Association after coaching 2 successful seasons at the Lion-Do Wrestling Club in Pennsylvania.
Greg Todd, Asst. Coach (PWA Staff)
Greg Todd rejoins the Virginia Duals Wrestling club as an assistant coach after long being a competitor in the club. After recently completing his college career at St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, N.C., Todd returns to the area where he was trained. At Gloucester High School, Todd was a two-time state finalist and a 2007 state champion. He set the school record for career wins and was a three-time team captain on both his high school and college teams.
